Church Leadership
The Church is run by a Senior Leadership Team with Bishop Dr. Peter Njogah as its Chairman and assisted by Rev Beth Njogah.
Bishop Dr. Peter Njogah
Bishop Dr. Peter serves as the Senior Pastor of Deliverance Church Ong’ata Rongai and also assist Bishop Dr. Mark Kariuki with various assignments within Deliverance Church International.
Rev Beth Njogah
Rev Beth is an Ordained Minister of the Gospel with Deliverance Church International. She has extensive experience in training, mentoring, counselling, speaking in churches, seminars and conferences within and outside of Kenya.
Our History
Beginnings
In July 1976, DC Ong’ata Rongai was planted in a rented room in Kware. The few members bought a plot and built a small wooden structure.
Teething Problems
The new church had no pastor and this resulted in instability for a long time.
Stability
The Church started to stabilize under the stewardship of the late Pastor Joseph Mungai who with the assistance of the Nairobi Region Leadership brought some order to the leadership. Following the sudden death of Pastor Mungai in a tragic road accident in 1992, Rev. Peter Njogah took over the leadership in 1993. Rev. Njogah embarked on a healing and reconstruction strategy that has seen the Church grow through the years.
Currently
The membership has since grown from 80 members to over 600 currently. We have embarked on a campaign dubbed Operation Expand with the aim of putting up a Sanctuary with a seating capacity of 1,600 people.

Since its inception the Church has had several Pastors:

3. Pastor Joseph Mungai (deceased)
4. Bishop Dr. Peter Njogah (current)
Through Bishop Dr. Peter Njogah’s leadership the Church has opened several satellite churches as well as commissioned and ordained Pastors

Sunday School
The DCOR Sunday School is charged with nurturing and mentoring our children to grow up in the ways of the Lord.
Child Development Centre
The CDC is a project by Deliverance Church Ong’ata Rongai in partnership with Compassion International.
Youth Ministry
This ministry plays a vital role in helping teenagers and young adults to build their life on the Word of God.
Men of Valor
The primary purpose is to help men grow in their relationship with God and build strong friendships with other godly men.
Daughters of Faith
The purpose of this department is to encourage, equip, promote, and challenge Christian women in their journey as disciples of Jesus Christ.
Praise and Worship
The main purpose of the team is to lead the congregation into God’s presence and set the atmosphere for the preaching of the Word of God.
Evangelism Ministry
The department is charged with co-ordinating outreach initiatives in Ong’ata Rongai and beyond with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Media Ministry
The purpose of the team is to aid the worship experience by providing high-quality audio, video, and visual presentations.
Hospitality Ministry
This department receives visitors to the Church and educates them about DCOR, its programs, beliefs, and activities while serving refreshments.
