The evangelism department is charged with co-ordinating outreach initiatives in Ong’ata Rongai and beyond with the gospel of Jesus Christ. The department does this by facilitating training and equipping Church members to become involved in fulfilling the great commission.
As a Church, we believe that every Christian has been commissioned to be a witness for Christ, and therefore, every Sunday morning this department trains members of the Church on how to spread the gospel wherever they are, whether it’s their places of work, business premises, neighbourhoods or school.
Every Wednesday between 10 AM and 12 PM church members and friends of DCOR meet up and go out to do door-to-door evangelism in the Ong’ata Rongai community following the example set by our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in Luke 19:10.
This department has spearheaded many successful missions in Kenya and neighbouring countries and we’ve seen hundreds of souls coming to Christ.
We have held crusades, free medical camps, distributed food to the hungry, visited those in prison, and shown films about Jesus in many parts of the country even as we have spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.
In one mission in DRC Congo, we trained pastors, leaders, and ordinary Church members on how to effectively share the gospel of Jesus Christ in their communities.
Wherever we go we usually equip the pastors and Church leaders with skills on outreach.
